New Octopus 3D Painting & Fun with Timelapse videos:
Last week I worked on another 3D painting - 3D Octopus - and also played around with the timelapse feature on my phone camera. It’s neat and brings a whole new meaning to "progress photos." I also received a request for a commissioned piece after a customer saw the octopus painting and wanted me to make another one just for them. I created a time-lapse video of that as well. ;-)
Latest addition to my 3D Painting Project - the 3D Octopus!
Watercolor Painting Class:
The first Creative Expressions Watercolor class was held last Saturday on June 9th and it was a success! All of my students had a great time and really enjoyed spending a few hours creating.
Some of the feedback I received was;
“I really like how you had more than one medium to use” , for the class students were able to use Watercolor Pencils and stencils. They really enjoyed the Watercolor Pencils!
“I liked how you didn’t have everyone doing the same thing like they do at the paint nights.” I like that too!
My vision for this class is to create an environment of safe creative expression in which all students can feel free and safe to express whatever comes up. I want everyone to experience the joy of artistic expression and be able to let go of any fear they have around it. I have experienced this fear myself and heard from other adults that it is hard to allow themselves to practice art because they believe it is for kids. They think only children are allowed to make non-sensical images and call it art, or that if you are going to do it as an adult, you must be a talented artist with a purpose of selling your artwork. Otherwise, it’s a waste of money, time and resources.
This belief is not true; it is so very far from true! It is my mission to help adults remember the joy of creative expression and the freedom to feel good about their creations regardless of arbitrary rules bestowed upon them as they grew past their childhood years.
I have sincere gratitude for my first students, I have learned a lot from them, and I move forward with a better understanding of my goals and how to reach them.
I look forward to meeting and working with all of you! As my future students (you know who you are); we will create, express and feel the freedom together. Sat Nam! <3

First pages in my Sketchbook
I started working in my new sketchbook, and I am enjoying the quality of the paper and the sacredness I feel when I use it. I think I will incorporate this type of sketchbook in my upcoming yoga and art classes. Stay tuned for those I am very excited about this offering!
